Geneo, also known as OxyGeneo is an advanced facial with four core treatment aspects, skin tightening, exfoliation, oxygenation and product infusion.
The Geneo facial starts with optional TriPollar radio frequency facial to tighten the skin and stimulate the production of new collagen.
This is then followed by EXFOLIATION, OXYGENATION & INFUSION. The unique Geneo oxy pod is applied to the skin using a specialist handpiece to bring about these 3 effects. When the oxy pod comes into contact with treatment gel on the skin a chemical reaction occurs which creates co2 microbubbles on the skins surface. The Geneo handpiece infuses these microbubbles into the epidermis which induces a natural response known as the BOHR effect, causing oxygen rich blood to rush to the area and oxygenate the skin cells. These oxygen rich skin cells can better utilise the infused active ingredients from the oxy pod.
The oxygenating facial is completed with light massage to continue product infusion and encourage lymphatic drainage. Skin is left tighter, brighter and plumped from the very first treatment.

Geneo Radio Frequency Facial Before & After

We do advise that you use a hypoallergenic SPF following treatment. We stock Obagi Sun Shield in the clinic should you want to purchase a high quality facial SPF for daily use.

Is OxyGeneo painful?
No an OxyGeneo facial should not be painful. It is a warming and relaxing facial treatment. Some people may find the warmth of the TriPollar Radio Frequency or the exfoliation slightly sensitive however this can be adjusted. The therapist will ask for your feedback throughout the treatment and can reduce the heat or exfoliation pressure if needed.
Which is better HydraFacial or Geneo Oxygen Facial?
HydraFacial uses multiple treatment stages to cleanse, exfoliate, extract and hydrate the skin.
Geneo oxygen facials use multiple treatment stages to cleanse, exfoliate, infuse and tighten the skin.
The main differences between the two are:
- Geneo involves no extraction from the skin wheras HydraFacial does
- Geneo has the option of radio frequency to aid in skin tightening and to encourage longer term production of new collagen. HydraFacial does not utilise any skin tightening technology.
- Customisable product infusion is a feature if both HydraFacial and Geneo Oxygen facials. Geneo uses a natural chemical reaction to bring oxygen to the skins surface and enhance product infusion.
There are benefits to each facial however we believe the Geneo Oxygen Facial offers a greater all round solution due to the option for an enhanced radio frequency facial to tighten the skin.
Where is Aqua-Tox?
Your Geneo Oxygen Facial will take place at our clinic in Hertford, Hertfordshire. We’re based at Foxholes Farm on London Road, just off the A10 and A414.
There is parking directly outside the clinic as well as overflow parking a short walk from the clinic. Foxholes Farm also has a farm shop and many other local businesses such as vets, dog groomers, pilates studio and personal trainers.
We have clients who visit us from all over Hertfordshire & Essex as we are easily reachable by road and main train lines.
